Blog #1 Start of Art

For me Ancient art is the start of a art. And I admire them for their arts, because they just draw what are the things that they are doing during the ancient times. And Their art is very unique compare to the art today. Even if today were using new technologies in having our art, for me the art during the ancient times is more the best.

And even if the art before is not like today that is more colorful and something new is our eyes, the art before is more informative, because they tells us what are they doing, and they just draw the happenings during their times, that's why we can understand now what are they doing before. And we can understand what is the kind of art which they used, which is the naturalism and realism of their artworks.

So the Ancient art is a start of our art that we are using today, even if their drawings before is not that good than today, but for me their art is much appreciated and can easily understand the real meaning of art, which now we are using today in our society. And this art can also used in our multimedia projects because it is more unique than today.

Week 7: They inspire me!

This is our Next Project, a Montage. I think Montage is like a collage, so this is what I made.

On the Half of the picture, first I put my picture and then my picture with my sister, And then My Parents in the Center and then on the right side me with my 2 cousins. I put them because they are important to me.

Then Next is a picture with my friends in NPCST or in my school before in Quezon City, I miss them so much, even my teachers before always asking me when will I visit them their. They are my first friends when I became step in college, so its hard for me not to see them just like before.

I Dont have a picture when I am in Ateneo because I'm too shy when they take a picture, so Next is my present friends here in Lyceum, my MMA 1-1 classmates and my MMA 2-1 classmates, its hard to be a ireg student but its okay for me, because I have a lot of en friends even though I have 3 major subjects this sem. And I enjoy being with them in school. Bonding with them and making our group project.

Then the 2nd to the last pic is one of my board mates, we are 9 here came from Lyceum also, they are my friends even if we are not in the same course, then lastly the bot on the right side he's Mm and he's one of my inspiration. HAHA He's an artist but because of him, I don't want to stop schooling, because he inspires me. Just like what my mama says that: "Gawin mo lang siyang inspirasyon mo". And that's it he's one of my inspiration, and also one of my friend before.

Week 6: This is my Now

I choose This is my Now by Jordin Sparks song because I like the lyrics of this song, and I think this song suits me, about my life before and now.

I like this song very much even though I heard this song for the first time. So, This is my project for my Comm.tech and I put some animations coz I'm still studying how to edit video. So I put some pictures of mine/ And also pictures with my friends with my 2 past schools. I put their picture because my miss my friends before. 

I like this song because it says that "Their was a time, I packed my dreams away. Living in a shell hiding from myself." This Line caught myself that this song is just like me that before Im so afraid to others and I keep on hiding myself to others because Im afraid on what will they think about me, but now I change, even though its not that full. But I know from myself that because of my friends I've change a lot.

Week 5: just STOP SMOKING, before its too LATE!

For me, Smoking is one of the problems in our society today. They used their money just to buy cigarette even if it is not important. Spending a lot of money without knowing that they can used that money in some important things.

Smokers must STOP from smoking because they just ruin their health and body and they make other people to have a disease due to second hand smoke. Smoking didn't us anything because it just ruin our health. Because of this many people die because of second hand smoke. Because of this smokers, this increase our pollution and many people will die because of this.

Because of Smoking Many students now are using their allowance for buying cigarettes and they didn't think that this cigarette will cause them a lot of diseases. coz I know someone that she use her tuition just to buy cigarette and stuff that are not important, so because of being "adik" in cigarette they used their money just to continue their habit.

Week 4: A big "NO" to plagiarism!

What is Plagiarism? I think it is copying of one work without a consent of the real owner of someone's work. Plagiarism? I think all people do this kind of thing because as a student we get first some information about a specific topic and then after getting it we copy the writings of other people, not knowing that it is not good for us student, and also for other also.

The implications of this Plagiarism in education is that, we only rely on what we are reading and not understanding what is in it. Copying is not that good because we have our own thoughts to speak and write and we have our own minds to make some things like what others do.

I think if you copy someone's work, sometimes you end up failed, because you just copy and not understanding what it is inside someone's work.  So we must not copy someone's work so that we cannot violate any violations to someone. So that we can also learn something from our past mistakes when we copy someone's work, just to finished our work. Just write your thoughts and not others thoughts. 

Week: 3 My Happy Long Weekend

Its a Long weekend, so my family decided that I will spend my long vacation in our province which is CamSur. So August 26 I traveled going to CamSur, so that 7pm or 8pm I am already in our province. It is a tiring travel because every time when the bus stops, I always vomit. *HAHAHA* i hate traveling, but I need cause I want to see my family. I arrived at 8am  in the evening in Naga Terminal, and my pants is so dirty because of me. So we decided to eat in SM near in our terminal, Eating with my sister, papa and mama.

When we arrived in our house, I watch TV cause I don't have TV in my boarding house so I told my mom that "AKIN LANG ANG TV.HAHA". Then the Next Day, I woke up at 9am then watch television again. I love No Class cause I spend my time watching TV, Texting, Social Networking, and Chatting with my parents, I became so "madaldal" even though its tiring but I keep on talking, and telling stories, and keep on getting o many things in our cabinet and not arranging it after. (Its me "makalat")

Im happy cause me and my sister is always in SM, eating, buying something, and just walking "window shopping" haha. cause we don't have much money so its better to have window shopping. My sister bought me a shirt and a socks, Then the next day me and my mom went centro with my aunt, then my mom bought me a rubber shoes, cause all of the stores in Naga have SALE.

Its a long weekend but its also tiring because i have to do my 15 pages essay about Charles Darwin in our sociology, and I don't know what to write in that essay, cause I'm tired to think that time cause I feel so dizzy because of traveling, then Tuesday afternoon me and my sister went in our lola's house to see my two aunt's, and to see my lolo and lola came from america. Then after visiting them we went in our Co-church mate's boutique and I saw some of my church mate's and youths in our church in CamSur and they told me that Im so thin. (sad) But its okay, cause I want to be thin, That day I sleep 3am just to finished my essay. So I am so sleepy traveling going back to Laguna, but I am with my mom.

I arrived at 4:45 in the morning and even though I feel so dizzy I come to school, even though  I fell asleep in class, I need to focus in studying even though a long weekend makes me so lazy. Even if in some students I know that they became lazy when we have long weekend. But my long weekend is so happy cause I saw my family, My mama and papa prepare me food for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Then I became LAZY that time that I keep on "pa-baby" to my mama and papa.

So even though I became Lazy that weekend I must study hard so that I can enroll again next semester. ^_^

Week 2: August, our "Buwan ng Wika"

Buwan ng Wika has been celebrated last friday August 26. But I'm sorry Ms. A, I didn't attend that day. Sorry po. Because I am here in Cam.Sur (Bicol) since friday. But as far as i have seen to the pictures being uploaded in Fb, I'm sure that they all enjoy the celebration of buwan ng wika. Especially to my co-MMA classmates, I know they give a lot of effort to do the activities given to them. Even though they didn't win the competition I am proud to be MMA parin. ^_^ I love being MMA, and I'm proud of them (my classmates)
 because i know they give a lot of effort to finished all of this activities and they give time so that they can also finished our projects in our some subjects.

I want to attend the celebration but I have to go here in Bicol, Coz i miss my family. ^_^ And even though AB Comm win more on the competition, its okay because they are CAS. :D Next time I will attend all the activities in school. Sorry po if I didn't attend last friday. :D

Week 1: My Busy Week in my college life in LPU

One word to describe my half in my college life of being an MMA student is "FUN". It is fun because we have many things to do that even though we have so much projects, quizzes, assignments, exams etc. we have time to make bond with each other while doing our class works. They call it "HELL WEEK" because we have so much to do and we didn't know what we are going to start first. Like in my subjects today i have 3 major which is Communication Technology, Computer Graphics and Design Professions, for me its hard which one will i study first. Sometimes my head is so full that's why i can't remember some of our lessons

Especially now that i'm not in our own house, its so hard to focus when i have so many things to do in our boarding house, and i have to cook for myself (even though I don't know how to cook.HAHA) anyway, its kinda tired for me to be like this.

Projects, we have many projects since prelims until now, that we think that why is it some of our minor projects are hard than our major projects, so now i don't know where to start for  my project or research works because my shoulder pain. So i need to rest because of it. This half of our first semester we don't have much assignments to worried about but we have a lot of quizzes which is sometimes its so hard but when I study sometimes i get a high score.

Prelims to Midterms is a busy week always, and its so hard to study if my stomach is empty. (haha) cause I need to save my money always. Like if we have to print and xerox many lectures sometimes I barrow from my classmates because I don't have enough money to have print and xerox everyday, so if it is important to have prints and xerox, I don't eat so that i can save for my xerox and prints for some of my subjects. That's why its so hard for me to manage all of my work here, but its okay. I'm happy of what I am doing in my course today than my course before.

New Media

Do Technology change how we access information?

For me its yes, because our technology today help us a lot when it comes to our works, like research, and for the businessman, it helps a lot when they have a transactions with others. Like Google, by using it we can have so much information and we can gather things that we don't know, and by this we can know what is happening in our society and by this our works will be much more easier than before.

The Type of information which we can rely?

For me its Google, because we can get more information more faster and more informative than other, and i think all that we want to know is in here.

How we Communicate with each other?

We Communicate with each other by using gadgets like cellphone, etc. And also by Social Networking sites such us Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Multiply, etc. But we used more Facebook, and because of this we can met our friends even if they are far away from us. So by the use of Social Networking sites we can express ourselves to others.

Does Media limit or expand our personal freedom?

For me it's yes, because by this we can express ourselves to others and we can share something new to people, like our blog we can express here ourselves and no one cares whatever we want to write in here. And also in Twitter, we follow our friends even people we want to know, and by using it we can express ourselves here when we want to express so that somebody will help us when we have a problem. And by this social networking sites, we have a freedom to write whatever we want to because people may see it sometimes don't have care on us.

Social Media

Social Media refers to the use of web-based and mobile technologies to turn communication into interactive dialogue. So as I've watch the video it tells about the social networking sites, and the percentage when how people use internet for a year and how long they use internet.

Just like in the video, it says that Youtube is the 4th most visiting sites in the internet and according to the video, most of the people using internet and adults spend 15+ hours a week that are using internet. And because of this technologies became more popular and used for bussiness and other activities. And most of the adults now are more focused and active in their social net working sites, like in facebook many establishments used facebook to advertise their products and they make pages so that people may know their products and so that their products will increase and be known to other side of the country and also outside our country.

In each year the users of each social networking sites became more progressive and being known by all people globally. So Consumers now are deppending on the internet than make a way in real. because they are more focused in what they are doing in the internet than find jobs. And because of this Social Media Revolution every year social networking sites are incresing and progressing in the way where people used this sites.

Mediocrity vs. Excellence

First I just want to explain what is the meaning of Mediocrity and the meaning of Excellence. The meaning of Mediocrity is ordinariness as a sequence of being average or not outstanding. Or a person who is average or ordinary. An Excellence means that being outstanding and above standard and the quality of being excellent.

First, I will discuss about what is happening to students when Mediocrity came to them. Many students today are not outstanding in class, because some of them are already contented with their work or what are they doing in school and for me they must think first what are the sacrifice of their parents for them to go in a university and study. Many students now are intelligent but they are not using it in a right way. 

And a question came into my mind, Why should student become outstanding?

For me, all of us can be outstanding in class in a way that we must study hard so that we can reach our goal and became a successful i the near future. And all of us must be outstanding not only for us to be known by others but for us to gain more knowledge that we can use in our daily life. So as a student we must focus on our study first than on other things that are not important in our study, even though we think that our subjects are hard but when we understand and give our heart in what we are doing we can make it even if it is difficult to understand.

For some reason why students are not outstanding in school is that they became lazy and they are more focused on others that are not important like not attending in school just to go with their friends and doing all of their time in playing, social networking and doing nonsense than studying their lessons so that they can excel in their studies and so that they cannot commit a failure grades in class.  

That's why i'm doing my best just to excel and i'm doing my best just to reach my dreams and so that i can help my family when i graduate college. 

The Future of Communication

When i finished watching the video, first comes in my mind that when years past many technologies have been created,more high tech and more expensive, but even though it is more high tech for me I feel scared because of this technologies being discovered.

For me, I don't like what will happen in the future even though it is high tech, I prefer the inventions today than the technologies being viewed in the video which is being change.

Like the Internet television, for me it is much better today than the future. Because i enjoy the technologies today, its simple compare on what will happen on the future but it is more safe and more enjoyed by people.

So for me i dont want this new  technologies happen because for me many people might get scared of what is happening in our world today even if many people also would like it. And I think if the technologies became like this in the future, i think people are not safe because of this technologies.

This is my comment about the video of "The future of Communication" when i watched it last friday and today, but my internet i so slow that's why i didi'nt see all the inventions in the future.

i LIKE

Our first prelim project and presentation was held on July 15, 2011.

The presentation which i liked the most except in our group is the group 1 or the group of Louina. Because their presentation were so unique compare to the other group and it is so fun to watch. especially their drawings are so cute and i think they give the information needed in the presentation.

Especially when they edit their presentation it is nice and i know that they give their best to finished this presentation for our prelim exam. because i saw them all participated in their project. And i saw their efforts to make their presentation to be a unique one.

that's why i like the presentation of Louina's group in our prelim exam.

Traffic and Life of Student

Traffic is a very common problem of the students. Due to traffic rush most of the time consumed during traveling, even though students went to school early they came to school late.

Especially during monday's and friday's, it is so traffic because o monday students don't want to get absent or late to their class that why many students get late because of a heavy traffic. and also especially when it is the end of the month.

traffic is the most heavy problem of students, because of this many students got late going to school especially when students have their exams they got late and they are already tired when they came to school. 

For me, i hate traffic because of this traffic i feel so tired and i feel that i'm not in mood when i got a traffic. Like, when i am a high school student our class started at 7 am in the morning so i go to school at 6:30 am so that at 6:45 i am already in school, but because of heavy traffic i got to school late.

Also when i was studying in Quezon city, my time is 8 am in the morning, so i leave our house at 6:30 in the morning, but because of the traffic in fairview i came to school at 9 am in the morning.  more or less i am traveling for a one hour and a half  that time. 

Graffiti Party!

Before in my previous school i am not attending any party because im too shy to be with other people, but now when i am here in lyceum, this is my first party and the best party ever.

im sorry if im not that good in english, but i hope you understand this...hehe! :D

anyway, first when the party started i feel excited but kinda shy, but after this when we write on our t-shirts already i feel more comfortable especially to my classmates and to MMA 2-1 classmates. even though i am shy to write on their shirt i do it because this is my first time to attend a acquaintance party.

and also this is my first pictures with my friends and classmates...

i enjoy each perfomance were students prepare for the acquaintance party, especially MMA 1-1, i like the video that they made for our class presentation. then at 9pm in the evening we already go home. but until i

this is our pics with some of MMA classmates and friends, during the party when we write messages in each tshirts. then after all of the presentation at 9pm in the evening we went home already.

for me, this is the best party ever, because i am with my new friends and now i am happy because this is my school and i enjoy very much even though we know each other for only more than 2 weeks.

so because of this i will be in LYCEUM until i graduate... ^_^

 Asia's Top Internet users are China which got the highest Top Interb=net users in Asia while the philippines only got rank 6 in the rank.

 

when i read this article i imagined how people use internet in their daily lives. especially in China which have the highest internet users, because their business are all using internet. while in the Philippines Filipinos using more in social networking sites that using other educational sites. Especially in philippines more people or students using social networking sites first than to study and doing their class works.

why do i choose LYCEUM?

i choose LYCEUM OF THE PHILIPPINES UNIVERSITY - LAGUNA or LPU because i feel more comfortable here than in my old school, especially in my department which is CAS or College of Arts and Science, they are al friendly and nice to talk to. And also i choose this school because this school have the course that i like which is AB Multi-Media Arts. for me, this is the best school because students and teachers here are friendly and they were easy to approach.

i know this is my 3rd school in college so now ill promise that this will be my last school ever... <3

And i know because of this school i can be a successful Multi-Media artist in the near future. =)
